I can honestly say that it is the biggest waste of time imaginable, as it doesn't cover anywhere near the material required for the exam. This book, on the other hand, provides clear exam objectives for each section. It points out common 'tricks' the exam may use to fool you, and provides good examples of exam-like questions. For learning Java, this book is better than revered Head First book from the same authors. I only understood Head First book when I downloaded and analyzed the source code. Otherwise, I see a lot of incomplete examples, it was like watching the movie from the half. This book gives you full understanding of the Java language.
