Certification Summary:
For individuals who design, maintain, and troubleshoot sophisticated switched networks that use Alcatel products.

Initial requirements: certification training requirement

Must first earn Alcatel's ACSS and ACSP certifications which have online exams. You must also pass the ACSE hands-on practical exam ($500). The ACSE practical exam is a two-part process. During the first part, the candidate will have to complete a scenario based on Alcatel Internetworking devices. If this part is completed successfully, the candidate moves on to the second part: troubleshooting and debugging. In this part you will have to find and fix problems in a network. Both parts must be completed within 7 hours.

Continuing requirements:
Re-certification must be completed by the second anniversary date of the initial ACSE certification. Re-certification is achieved through passing the then current ACSE update exam.
