Certification Summary:
For individuals who work in an end-to-end Cisco environment. Covers IP routing, IP QoS, BGP, and MPLS.

Initial requirements: certification training requirement

You must first hold Cisco CCNA certification. Then you must pass four exams: Building Scalable Cisco Networks (BSCI); Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QoS)); Implementing Cisco MPLS (MPLS)); and Configuring BGP on Cisco Routers (BGP).

Continuing requirements:
Must recertify every 3 years. Passing any CCIE written exam will recertify Cisco Qualified specialist, associate and professional level certifications. CCIP recertification can also be accomplished by passing the 642-691 BGP+MPLS exam; or by passing both the 642-661 BGP and 642-611 MPLS exams.
