Certification Summary: This broad coverage, vendor-independent certification is suitable for most IS professionals (programmers, analysts, etc. to IT managers and CIO's).
Initial requirements: Must have four years of documented experience in the computing industry. Up to 24 months of credit is given for Bachelor degrees in related fields. Must pass at 70% or better a core ($250) and two elected specialty exams ($250 each). You can substitute 2 language exams ($175 each) for one of the specialty exams. You can also get one of the exams waived if you already hold a recognized certification from another vendor and pay a $25 processing fee. Must also ascribe to the ICCP Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. Testing must be arranged through ICCP by securing a proctor.
Continuing requirements:
Must complete 120 hours of approved continuing education over a three year revolving period and payment of annual maintenance fees of $50.
