Certification Summary:
For individuals who can establish and implement an effective security policy, identify security threats, and develop countermeasures using firewall systems and attack-recognition technologies. CIW Security professionals understand authentication procedures, encryption standards, system ports and protocols, and how to detect and respond to unauthorized access.
Initial requirements:
You must pass the CIW Security Essentials exam ($150) and accept the CIW Certification Agreement. The exam consists of 62 questions and has a 90 minute time limit. A passing score of 76% is required.
