Certification Summary:
For individuals who handle the day to day administration of Novell products, including Netware.

Initial requirements: certification training requirement

Two tracks are currently available - NetWare 6 and Open Enterprise Server. First you must hold the Associate level designation for your chosen track. Then, for Open Enterprise Server, you must pass 2 additional exams covering Administration and Design and Implementation. For the NetWare 6 track there are 4 additional exams covering Administration, Advanced Administration, Design and Implentation, and ZENWorks Desktop Management. Novell exams cost $125 each.

Continuing requirements:
CNEs must periodically meet Continuing Certification Requirements (CCRs). You can get CCR information by visiting the certification Web site. If you do not update, you will lose your CNE benefits, although Novell says you don't have to stop calling yourself a CNE.
