Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)

Certification Summary:
For individuals who have a professional level of competence in the principles and practices of quality assurance in the IT profession. CSQAs become members of a recognized professional group and receive recognition of their competence by business and professional associates, potentially more rapid career advancement, and greater acceptance in the role as advisor to management.

Initial requirements:
You must have a 4 year degree from an accredited college-level institution and 2 years experience in the information services field, a 3 year degree from an accredited college-level institution and 3 years experience in the information services field, a 2 year degree from an accredited college-level institution and 4 years experience in the information services field or six years experience in the information services field. You must also be working, or have worked at any time within the prior 18 months, in the field within covered by the certification designation.
You must then submit an application and a non-refundable application fee. The application fee for a PDF version of CBOK is $350.00. If you would like a PDF version of CBOK plus hard copy and CD, the fee is $420.00. Must meet one of three prerequisites:
1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college-level institution
2. An associate degree and two years of experience in the information services field, or
3. Six years of experience in the information services field.

You must recertify every three years by taking an exam ($200) or by submitting a Recertification Journal which contains at least 120 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits ($100).
