Certification Summary:
For network professionals interested in implementing security technologies using the Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) , especially firewall and VPN functionality. ASA specialists demonstrate the ability to describe, configure, verify and manage the ASA products and the Adaptive Security Device Manager (ASDM).
Initial requirements:
You must first hold the CCNA Security certification. You must then pass two exams: the Securing Networks with ASA Foundation exam ($150) and the Securing Networks with ASA Advanced exam ($150). Training is available but not required.
Continuing requirements:
Cisco Specialist certifications are valid for two years. To recertify, take and pass the current version of the required exam(s) or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam.
