Certification Summary:
Cisco IP Telephony Design Specialists can design a scalable, converged network using QOS, Cisco Call Manager clustering, H.323, MGCP, or SIP signaling protocols, and assess the scope of work required to integrate legacy TDM PBXs and voice mail systems into an existing data network.

Initial requirements: certification training requirement

Must hold Cisco CCDA certification plus pass two additional exams ($250): IP Telephoney Design (IPTD), pllus, the Quality of Service (QoS) exam. You must also sign the Cisco Career Certifications Agreement.

Continuing requirements:
Must recertify every 2 years by passing the current version of the IP Telphony Design Specialist exams.
