Certification Summary:
For individuals who install, configure, operate, and support complex IP telephony/voice over IP (VoIP) networks and applications. The certification content focuses on Cisco Systems CallManager, quality of service (QoS), gateways, gatekeepers, IP phones, voice applications, and utilities on Cisco routers and Cisco Catalyst switches.
Initial requirements:
You must first hold CCNA certification. There are five additional exams: QOS; CVOICE; IPTT; CIPT; and GWGK. Exams cost $125 each. Individuals who currently hold an IP Telephony Cisco Qualified Specialist certification will find that they have already achieved many of the requirements for the CCVP.
Continuing requirements:
CCVP certifications are valid for two years. To recertify, take and pass the current version of the appropriate exams, or pass a CCIE written exam.
