For individuals who can implement complete security solutions. Cisco IPS Specialist can operate and monitor Cisco IOS Software and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) technologies to prevent, understand, and respond to intrusion attempts.
Initial requirements:
You must hold a valid CCNA Security or any CCIE certification. You must then pass the Implementing Cisco Intrusion Prevention Systems exam ($150). Training is available but not required.
Continuing requirements:
Certifications are valid for two years. To recertify, take and pass the current version of the required exam(s) or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam.
