Certification Summary:
For individuals who wish to demonstrate expertise in operating and monitoring Cisco IOS Software and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) technologies to prevent, detect and respond to intrusion activities.

Initial requirements: certification training requirement

You must first hold CCNA certification. You must then pass two additional exams: Securing Cisco Network Devices (SND) and Implementing Cisco Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). Exams cost $125 each. You must also sign the Cisco Career Certifications Agreement.

Continuing requirements:
Must recertify every two years by taking the then current exam.
