Certification Summary:
For individuals who wish to demonstrate their expertise in detecting hacking attacks and properly extracting evidence to report the crime and conduct audits to prevent future attacks. Computer forensics is simply the application of computer investigation and analysis techniques in the interests of determining potential legal evidence.
Initial requirements:
You must pass the CHFI exam ($250). A corresponding course is available and recommended, though not required. If you do not take the associated training from the EC-Council, you must complete an eligibility form before you can take the exam.
Continuing requirements:
Each member must achieve 120 credits within 3 years and clock in 20 credits per year.
