Certification Summary:
For individuals with advanced experience installing and maintaining Linux on a number of computers for various purposes. This includes using LDAP to integrate with Unix and Windows services, and planning, architecting, designing, building and implementing a full environment using Samba and LDAP as well as measuring the capacity planning and security of the services.
Initial requirements:
There are two paths to choose from: LPIC-3 Core and LPI Specialty. Both tracks require you hold an active LPIC- 2 certification.
For the Core track, you must pass the LPI Core exam ($260). For the LPI Specialty track, you must pass the LPI Core exam ($260) and one Specialty exam ($160).
Continuing requirements:
You must recertify within 5 years after receiving your certification designation. To recertify, you must pass all of the current exams that are required for your highest earned certification designation.
