Certification Summary:
This certification is for the experienced, master level disaster recovery planner, with at least five years of industry experience.
Initial requirements:
Must have acquired 5 years of significant practical experience in business continuity or disaster recovery planning within the past 10 years. Four of the seven Subject Areas must include the "core" subject areas of #3 "Business Impact Analysis," #4 "Developing Business Continuity Strategies." #6 "Developing and Implementing Business Continuity Plans," and #8 Maintaining and Exercising Business Continuity Plans.Must pass the MBCP exam ($500). You must also submit an application ($425)
Continuing requirements:
Must earn 80 "continuing education points" over a 2 year period. Must pay annual maintenance fee of $150.
