Certification Summary: For Microsoft Certified Trainers whose job roles have grown to include frequent consultative engagements with their customers. Their role is more that of a technology trainer—they diagnose current and desired business performance and design learning solutions to bridge the gap. The MCLC credential clearly identifies your expertise to the Microsoft training community and customers. It validates your experience in building a consultative relationship and recognizes your skills in designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating customized learning solutions.
Initial requirements:
Before you apply to be an MCLC, you must first be an MCT in good standing.
To demonstrate that you have skills and experience designing, developing, and delivering consultative learning solutions, you must submit a Case Study describing a project that you completed within the last two years, in which you played a lead consultative role, demonstrating the required competencies.
To verify the accuracy of your Case Study, you must submit an attestation form MCLC (“Letter of Attestation”) signed by an authorized representative of the customer profiled in your Case Study, attesting to your accuracy of the Case Study and your role in it.
Upon receipt of both the MCLC Application and the Letter of Attestation, the MCLC Review Board will review your Case Study and you will receive a notification via email.
Continuing requirements:
In order to maintain your MCLC Certification, you must submit a new Case Study within two years of the date your previous Case Study was approved and you must re-commit to the MCLC Program on an annual basis by accepting the MCLC terms and conditions when you renew your MCT Certification.
