Certification Summary:
For individuals who install and maintain an Oracle Database. Oracle Database Administrator Certification combines training, experience, and testing to ensure that you have a strong foundation and expertise in the industry’s most advanced database management system.

Initial requirements:
There are several options to choose from before taking the Oracle Database Administrator exam.

11g track:

You must first pass one of the following exams: Introduction to Oracle: SQL and PL/SQL ($125), or Introduction to Oracle9i SQL ($95), or Oracle Database SQL Expert ($125), or Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals ($95). You must then pass the Oracle Database 11g: Administration exam ($125).

10g track:

You must first pass one of the following exams: Introduction to Oracle: SQL and PL/SQL ($125) or Introduction to Oracle9i SQL ($95), or Oracle Database SQL Expert ($125), or Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals ($95). You must then pass the Oracle Database 10g: Administration exam ($125).

Oracle 9i track:

You must first pass one of the following exams: Introduction to Oracle: SQL and PL/SQL ($125) or Introduction to Oracle9i SQL ($95), or Oracle Database SQL Expert ($125), or Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals ($95). You must then pass the Oracle9i Database: Fundamentals exam ($125).

Continuing requirements:
Oracle will periodically announce requirements for recertification based on the release of new products and upgrades.
