Certification Summary:
For individuals who administer Solaris systems. Available for various versions of Solaris.

Initial requirements: certification training requirement

Must pass 2 exams ($300). For Solaris 10 they are: Solaris System Administrator for Solaris 10 Exam I (310-200/$150), and Solaris System Administrator for Solaris 10 Exam II (310-202/$150). Exam I includes 57 multiple choice, free rsponse, and drag and drop questions. A score of 66% is required to pass. Exam II contains 61 multiple choice, free rsponse, and drag and drop questions. A score of 70% is required to pass. Both exams last up to 90 minutes. For Solaris 7 they are: Solaris System Administrator Exam for Solaris 7: Part I (310-009/$150), and Solaris System Administrator Exam: Part II (310-010/$150). Exam I includes 81 multiple choice questions. A score of 75% is required to pass. Exam II contains 94 multiple choice, short answer, and fill-in questions. A score of 70% is required to pass. Both exams last up to 120 minutes. A single upgrade exam (from one version of Solaris to another) is also available. You must purchase an exam voucher from Sun. Testing is through Prometric.
