Summary:
For individuals who have a wider range and greater depth of skills than the Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS).

Initial Requirements:
No formal prerequisites. It is recommended that candidates be knowledgeable in the design and implementation of system architecture, with a deep and broad "subject matter expert" (SME) immersion in Linux. Training is available but not required.

Certification required passage of a two-hour performance-based exam ($300), with a score of at least 65 percent. Exams are taken online with proctoring by web cam, streaming audio and screenshare.

Continuing Requirements:
Recertification required every two years. To recertify, individuals must either pass a qualifying exam or complete at least 16 hours of approved continuing education activities.
