Summary:
For individuals who wish to demonstrate expertise in computer forensics and e-discovery techniques and best practices.

Initial Requirements:
You must document at least 40 qualifying credits in e-discovery and closely related fields based on education, training, professional certifications and professional experience in the field. You must also provide two professional references, and submit a completed application with supporting documentation and the examination fee. Finally, you must pass the CEDS cetification exam. The exam fee for ACEDS members is $795 for the private sector and $595 for the public sector and academic field. The fee for non-members is $995.

Continuing Requirements:
After passing the CEDS exam, you must be an active member of ACEDS to maintain, use and display the CEDS credential. Private Sector Membership is $195/year, or $295/2 years. Public Sector Membership (includes government and academic) is $150/year, or $195/2 years.
