Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)

For individuals who design routed and switched network infrastructures and services involving LAN, WAN, and broadband access for businesses and organizations. This includes designing basic campus, data center, security, voice, and wireless networks.

Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)

Skill Level: Foundation                          Status: Active
Cisco CCENT certification is for individuals who install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security. This entry-level IP networking certification is the first step toward achieving a CCNA from Cisco.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

For individuals who install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. This includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills.

Cisco Certified Network Associate - Service Provider (CCNA SP)

For individuals who configure and implement baseline Cisco Service Provider IP Next-Generation networks.

Cisco Certified Technician (CCT)

For individuals who perform onsite installation, support and maintenance of Cisco networking devices and work with the Cisco Technical Assistance Center.

Cisco Data Center Storage Networking Design Specialist

Skill Level: Foundation                          Status: Active
For individuals who integrate Cisco storage products to design a storage networking solution based on converged architecture. Products covered include Cisco MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Directors and Switches, Cisco MDS 9509 Director Switch, Cisco 9216 Fabric Switch, and Cisco MDS 9120. In addition, this certification covers the use of Cisco NX-OS and provides a technology overview of Cisco Unified Fabric, Cisco Nexus, and Cisco Unified Computing System products.

For individuals who design solutions with Cisco wireless products advanced feature set, based upon a validated understanding of Radio Frequency (RF), and antenna theory, 802.11a/b/g standards, site survey and configuration of controllers and APs. This certification retired November 12, 2011.

Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN Field Specialist

Skill Level: Intermediate                          Status: Discontinued
For individuals who wish to demonstrate the ability to successfully install, configure and support solutions with Cisco wireless products advanced feature set, based upon a validated understanding of WLAN 802.11a,b and g radio technology standards, Radio Frequency (RF), and antenna theory.
