Summary:
For individuals who wish to demonstrate advanced skills working with big data and specifically Hadoop.

Initial Requirements:
You must pass a computer-based Data Essentials exam and complete a hands-on data science solution development challenge. The two parts must be purchased together ($300).

The Data Essentials exam includes 60 questions, has a 90 minute time limit, and a passing score of 500 on a scale of 0-700. The Data Science Challenge consists of a project based on real-world data science problem involving a large dataset. Challenges are available twice a year.

Training is available but not required.

Continuing Requirements:
Certification does not expire.
