Summary:
For individuals who have core knowledge of computer systems and forensics concepts and methods and want to develop a broader scope of knowledge and experience. CFCEs demonstrate advanced understanding of computer forensics concepts and skills.

Initial Requirements:
There are 2 ways to earn the CFCE certification: Internal and External. For the Internal Certification program, you must successfully complete a 2-week training course ($1995). For the External Certification program, you must demonstrate a commensurate level of training and computer forensics experience and submit an application and fee ($750) to be approved by the IACIS Certification Committee. You must then successfully complete a series of challenging practical exercises. Finally, you must take the written certification exam.

Continuing Requirements:
You must maintain your status as a current dues paying member in good standing. You must also complete the proficiency exam every three years.
