Experience Required:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of five years cumulative, paid, full-time work experience in two or more of the eight domains of the CISSP Common Body of Knowledge (CBK).

  • Only a one-year experience exemption is granted for education.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Requirements: Once you are certified, you become a member of (ISC)² and recertify every three years. Recertification is accomplished by earning continuing professional education (CPE) credits and paying an Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF) to support ongoing development.
