Summary:
For individuals who have the skills to do basic to intermediate system administration from the command-line for systems running Linux.

Initial Requirements:
No formal prerequisites. It is recommended that candidates be knowledgeable in the operational support of Linux systems and services, including troubleshooting and analysis of system malfunctions. Training is available but not required.

Certification required passage of a two-hour performance-based exam ($300), with a score of at least 65 percent. Exams are taken online with proctoring by web cam, streaming audio and screenshare.

Continuing Requirements:
Recertification required every two years. To recertify, individuals must either pass a qualifying exam or complete at least 16 hours of approved continuing education activities.
