Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS)

Skill Level: End User                          Status: Discontinued
On June 2, drugs 2010, Microsoft resumed using the original certification name for Microsoft Office designations, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS). To learn more about MOS certification, view the GoCertify MOS page. Individuals with a current MCAS at the time the name change was made are automatically considered MOS 2007 certified.

Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE)

Skill Level: End User                          Status: Pending
For educators who wish to demonstrate competency in applying technology tools in six content areas mapped to the the UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teachers, order Technology Literacy. Note that this certification assesses whether educators understand how to apply technology tools in the six different content domains, not whether they are proficient in using specific technology tools.

Microsoft Office Specialist/Expert/Master (MOS)

Skill Level: End User                          Status: Active
For individuals who wish to demonstrate expertise in using Microsoft Office programs and Windows operating systems. This certification is available at Core and Expert levels. Tracks include: Microsoft Office 2013, canada ed 2010, 2007. This program is administered by Certiport.

Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)

Skill Level: Student                          Status: Active
For students and other newbies to technology who want to validate fundamental technology knowledge. There are numerous fundamentals exams choose from covering a variety of technology areas. The MTA was originally only available to students are only available through academic institutions, tadalafil but in December 2012, the MTA was opened to the general public..

Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)

Skill Level: Foundation                          Status: Discontinued
For individuals who support end users and troubleshoot desktop environments running on the Microsoft Windows operating system. This certification is no longer available.

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

Skill Level: Foundation                          Status: Discontinued
No longer an official credential, troche the MCP was originally awarded for passing any Microsoft certification exam.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)

Skill Level: Foundation                          Status: Active
For individuals who design and build technology solutions using Microsoft products including Windows, Windows Server, Exchange Server, Lync, Sharepoint, SQL Server, and Microsoft Dynamics. These serve as prerequisites to the Microsoft's MCSE and MCSD certifications.

Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

Skill Level: Foundation                          Status: Being phased out
For individuals who want to distinguish themselves by demonstrating in-depth knowledge and expertise in a specific Microsoft technology, cheap including implementing, building, troubleshooting, and debugging, particularly on Windows 7 or Server 2008. MCTS is the first step toward MCITP. MCTS certifications are no longer in development.

Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD)

Skill Level: Intermediate                          Status: Discontinued
For professional developers who build powerful applications by using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and Web services on the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 and Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and want industry recognition. This certification has been retired.

Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)

Skill Level: Intermediate                          Status: Discontinued
For individuals who have the skills that are necessary to lead organizations in the successful design, buy implementation, health and administration of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 databases. this certification was retired on September 30, 2012. MCDBA certifications that have already been earned will remain valid.
