Summary:
For individuals who practice a wide range of telecommunications disciplines, including photonic systems, PCS/PCN, cellular, satellite, LAN, WAN and many more. This certification is available for Junior, Senior and Master level Engineer and Technician.

Initial Requirements:
You must complete the Telecommunnications application and submit an application fee (fee varies by certification level). You must then pass the exam for your desired certification level with a passing score of at least 75%. You must also provide a current resume or complete a detailed work history form outlining your years of experience and provide at least one supervisory reference and between one and three additional references (depending on certification level). Lastly, you must compose ten original multiple-choice questions and answers with supporting references.
Experience requirements vary by certification level. To earn a Telecommunications Technician certification, you must meet the following experience requirements: Junior Technician ($40) - at least 2 years; Senior Technician ($50) - at least 6 years; Master Technician ($55) - at least 8 years.
To earn a Telecommunications Engineer certification, you must meet the following experience requirements: Junior Engineer ($65) - at least 4 years; Senior Engineer ($75)- at least 6 years; Master Engineer ($85) - at least 8 years.
Testing centers may charge an additional fee for administering the exam.

Continuing Requirements:
You must submit an annual renewal fee. Renewal fees range from $38 - $80 and vary by certification level.
