For individuals who have the knowledge and experience of in the development, implementation and operation of IT solutions.

Initial Requirements:
There are 3 levels to the Open CITS program: Certified, Master, and Distinguished. The program is made up of four parts: Core Foundation Skills, Client Focus Skills, Technical Focus Skills, and Experience Requirements. Each level requires you submit a comprehensive certification package detailing your skills and experience gained while working on architecture related projects. You will also need to provide a minimum of 2 or 3 experience profiles (depending on the certification level) that describe how your skills were used in the IT projects you worked on. Finally, you must pass a board review. The certification fee is $1250, and there is an annual fee of $175.

You must complete the IT Specialist certification package and application documenting your core foundation skills and your client and technical focus skills ($1250). You must then pass an interview by a board of Certified IT Specialists.

You must have 5 years of IT work experience within the last 8 years, with at least one example being in the last 3 years. You must have 3 years of work experience within your technical and client focus in the last 5 years, with at least one example being in the last 3 years. You must have acted in the role of IT Specialist within your stream in 2 successful engagements.
There is an annual fee of $175.

Continuing Requirements:
You must recertify every 3 years ($250).
