Linux Certification FAQ

Where are Linux certification tests administered?

LPI and Linux+ tests are administered through the Thompson Prometric, and Pearson VUE testing networks. Both networks are international. This means the tests can be taken worldwide, at a center that is part of either network. Pearson VUE has over 3,400 in 120 countries. Thompson Prometric has a similarly sized network. You can register for exams online or by telephone. Before taking your first LPI exam, you must register for an LPI id on the LPI Web site.

To register for an LPI or Linux+ exam:

Novell's computer-based exams for CLA and CLDA are available through Pearson VUE. The hands-on practicums though, are only available through select Novell Partners.
