ISACA’s Inaugural CSX Conference in London To Address Critical State of Cybersecurity

Rolling Meadows, IL, USA (8 September 2016)— Global IT and cybersecurity association ISACA will host the first-ever CSX 2016 Europe conference in London, England, 31 October-2 November 2016. ISACA developed Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX) to help organizations build qualified cybersecurity workforces and help individuals advance their cyber careers. As part of CSX, ISACA introduced the conference in North America last year to a sold-out audience and expanded to Asia and Europe this year.


CSX Europe keynotes are renowned experts in the field and include:

  • Raj Samani, chief technical officer, Intel Security EMEA

  • Misha Glenny, investigative journalist, author, broadcaster, specializing in global organized crime and cybersecurity

  • Eddie Schwartz, president and COO, White Ops, Inc.

  • Dr. Simon Moores, technology futurist, information risk consultant, Zentelligence (Research) Ltd.


CSX 2016 Europe will focus on practical cybersecurity solutions and guidance, tailored to every level of a security professional’s career. The conference will allow attendees to explore trends and threats, exchange ideas and insights, and learn how to excel at defending against threats to their enterprises. Sessions are offered in four tracks and with two levels of complexity.


“Cyberattacks are ongoing and more sophisticated every day, and have perpetuated the need for highly skilled and knowledgeable cybersecurity professionals—this problem is not going away. It is critical that we make cybersecurity everyone’s business,” said Christos K. Dimitriadis, Ph.D., CISA, CISM, CRISC, chair of ISACA’s Board of Directors and group director of Information Security for INTRALOT. “CSX offers conferences like CSX Europe to provide training and collaboration, and work toward the goal of developing a global talent pool of cybersecurity practitioners and leaders.”


CSX 2016 Europe will also feature the new CSX Cyber Challenge, an innovative online competition that will test participants’ cybersecurity skills in areas such as ethical hacking, computer network defense and computer forensics. Also offered at the event is a special networking event in ISACA’s Connecting Women Leaders in Technology program.
