(ISC)² Opens Registration for 14th Annual Secure Summit APAC

Clearwater, Fla. (April 16, 2019) — (ISC)², the world’s largest nonprofit membership association of certified cybersecurity professionals, today announced that it has opened registration for its Secure Summit APAC 2019 event, which will take place from 10-11 July at the Conrad Hong Kong Hotel. The 14th annual event is officially supported by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The (ISC)² Secure Summit APAC 2019 takes place against the backdrop of a global cybersecurity talent shortage that is most strongly felt in Asia-Pacific. (ISC)²’s 2018 Cybersecurity Workforce Study found that, of the 2.93 million professionals needed to bridge the gap, more than two million are needed within the region. “I would like to express my gratitude to (ISC)² for organising the Secure Summit APAC 2019 in Hong Kong” said Jason Pun, Assistant Government Chief Information Officer. “The Summit provides an excellent platform for industry leaders, experts and professionals in the region to meet and share their insight and experience of cybersecurity.

"I also thank (ISC)² for the dedication to nurturing the cybersecurity professionals in Hong Kong. (ISC)² shares the common mission with us to strive for a secure cyber environment. We will continue to collaborate with (ISC)² to foster this culture of sharing that enhances overall defensive capabilities for our society.”

The Summit is a two-day event that brings together hundreds of the best minds in cybersecurity in the Asia-Pacific region. The event is geared toward providing value to members and helps them gain insight from international industry experts while discovering solutions to the latest cybersecurity threats. The learning experience includes multi-subject sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities that can help members earn CPEs with educational agendas that are drawn from the (ISC)² membership.

“Secure Summit APAC is unique in that it brings together a wide array of professionals responsible for protecting critical data assets. It’s an opportunity for front-line practitioners and administrators to interact with specialists, senior managers and CISOs from organizations all over the region who are dealing with similar business and threat landscapes,” said Clayton Jones, managing director, Asia-Pacific, (ISC)².

“It's a dynamic that contributes to the ongoing development in our profession's understanding and curation of best practices in a range of topic areas.”

In conjunction with the event’s theme of Enrich. Enable. Excel., six tracks will be featured to address areas in which cybersecurity professionals face some of their biggest challenges in 2019:

● Cutting Edge Technologies & Ideas
● Governance, Risk and Compliance
● Identity Access Management

Co-hosted by Image Engine Pte Ltd., Secure Summit APAC 2019 is also supported by the Hong Kong Computer Society and sponsored by Infoblox and Sangfor Technologies.
