ISACA Blogger Gives Tips for Achieving CGEIT Certification

ISACA certifications are consistenly in demand and ISACA-certified individuals generally enjoy fat salaries, so there's built-in incentive to get their credentials if you are charting a cybersecurity career path. Guest blogger Hao Chen, a senior information security officer by trade, discusses the Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) credential. Chen recently (and successfully) completed CGEIT certification himself, and offers a handy four-step guide for anyone who'd like to replicate that feat. Everyone's exam experience is different, but it's always helpful to know what someone else did to crack the always-tough certification nut, and you can often apply the same general principles to certification in many different areas. For example, Chen made extensive use of ISACA's official CGEIT Review Manual. Those kinds of materials are available from most certification vendors, but aspiring certificants don't always take advantage of them.
