The exam for this certification is currently available in beta format through Pearson Vue testing centers. The MySQL Database Administrator Certification signifies the skills to maintain and optimize an installation of one or more MySQL servers, and perform administrative tasks such as monitoring the server, making backups, and so on. The Administrator exams are slated for beta release in the first week of March. For the full scoop on MySQL 5.0 certification visit the MySQL Website.
