HP Adds 3 Cloud Certifications to ExpertONE Program
HP just introduced three new Accredited Solutions Expert (ASE) certifications designed to identify IT pros with the technical and business expertise to design and deploy cloud solutions. The new credentials include HP ASE - Cloud Architect v1, HP ASE - Cloud Integrator (coming April 2012), HP Master ASE – Cloud Integrator (summer 2012). In addition to covering specific cloud computing technical segments such as storage, the new HP cloud certifications incorporate business skills related to designing cloud projects that fit with overall organization goals.
Updated Cisco CCIE Wireless Exams in Place
Version 2.0 of Cisco's CCIE Wireless written and lab exams are now live. The new written exam (#350-050) consists of 90-100 multiple-choice questions and has a 2-hour time limit. Cisco published a list of topics "likely to appear on the exam." Candidates must pass the written exam before attempting the 8-hour CCIE Wireless lab exam.
Red Hat Adds Second JBoss Developer Certification
The new JBoss Certified Developer in Seam (JBCD-Seam) credential is the latest addition to the lineup of Red Hat certifications that use hands-on exams to measure skill level. The 4-hour JBCD-Seam exam tests candidates on Seam application development concepts, including component development, bijection, context management, internationalization, and security. There's Still Time to Take the Oracle Java SE 7 Programmer Beta
The beta period for the new Java SE 7 Programmer 1 certification exam will end on December 17, 2011. Pass this exam (1Z0-803) before then and you can be among the first to become certified on Java SE 7, and do so for only $50. Registration and objectives available through Oracle.
SNIA Foundations Exam to Retire on Release of Storage+ in January
SNIA has announced that it will retire the SNIA Certified Storage Professional (SCSP) exam on January 17, 2012, the day before CompTIA's Storage+ Powered by SNIA exam is expected to go live. SNIA will continue to recognized individuals who already hold the SCSP credential as certified through December 31, 2014.
