Apple Computer Launches End User Certification Program
Apple computer recently announced an end user certification program intended for users of its digital media products. Certification exams are through Apple Authorized Training Centers and are available (or will be soon) for Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Shake and Logic. Associated classroom and self-study training is available. Exams cost $150.
New Alteon Security Design Expert certification from Nortel Networks
On July 24th Nortel released the new Alteon Security Design Expert certification. This new designation is for individuals who are responsible for designing secure networks using Alteon products. As a prerequisite, candidates must first earn Nortel Networks Certified Design Specialist (NNCDS) certification in Alteon. Passing the Alteon Security exam will elevate you to the Alteon Security Design Expert title.
Free Linux Certification Testing at Linuxworld
LPI certification testing will be available at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, August 5-8, Moscone Conference Center, San Francisco. Candidates must pre-register at www.lpi.org/en/register.html to receive a LPI registration ID number before testing on-site. An administration fee of $20 per exam will be charged to non-conference attendees who wish to test.
