Oracle Database 10g OCP Exam Available in Beta, OCA Beta ConcludesOracle's exam #1Z1-043 is available in Beta format for $50, as of November 1, 2004. The Oracle Database 10g Administration II beta exam counts toward Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Professional. A hands-on requirement must also be completed in order to obtain the certification.The Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) beta concluded on September 30, 2004. The production version of that exam (#1Z0-042) is slated for release this month.
Beta of New CompTIA Network+ Exam AvailableThe Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is seeking candidates to take the beta version of a new Network+ exam. The beta exam will be made available by the end of November 2004, at a reduced cost of $75. The final version of the exam is slated for release in mid 2005. Complete exam objectives are available on the CompTIA Web site.
CompTIA Security+ Hits 10,000 MarkCompTIA recently announced that in less than two years, more than 10,000 people in 112 countries have earned CompTIA's Security+ certification. The CompTIA Security+ certification exam was first offered in December 2002.
New IP SAN Specialist Certification from McDATAMcDATA corporation has relased a new storage area networking (SAN) certification called McDATA IP SAN Specialist. The exam for this designation covers the troubleshooting, design, configuration, installation and standard-based protocols inherent in McDATA Eclipse™ SAN Routers. Certification in Electronic Health Records and Health Information TechnologyHealth IT Certification has announced two computer-related healthcare certifications: Certified Professional in Electronic Health Records (CPEHR) and Certified Professional in Health Information Technology (CPHIT).The CPEHR designation is intended for individuals who plan, select, implement, and manage electronic health records (EHR). The exam costs $395. The CPHIT title indicates that the holder has mastered the common body of knowledge for an electronic health records professional and, in addition, has evidenced expertise in a variety of health information technology applications, including CPOE and electronic prescribing. The CPHIT exam costs $495. Exams can be taken either at the conclusion of the available training offered by Health IT Certification, or online.
