Prosoft looking for test takers for CIW v5 E-Commerce Designer Beta exam

Prosoft Learning Corporation is inviting interested individuals in the United States and the United Kingdom to take the CIW v5 E-Commerce Designer Beta exam (1D0-525) November 30 - January 6 at Prometric testing centers. Those who pass the beta exam can potentially earn CIW Professional certification or even Master CIW Designer certification if they passed the Site Designer exam. However, they must already have their CIW Associate certification and meet all other requirements. The final exam is scheduled for release in February/March 2006. The beta exam may be taken only once. There is no charge for taking the exam or earning certification.

CWNP Wireless# Beta Exam Available

The beta version of Planet3Wireless' Wireless# exam is now available. The cost is $85 during the beta period. The exam has a 90 minute time limit and contains 60 multiple choice questions. Passing score is 70%. The final version of the exam is slated for release in early 2006. For full objectives see:

Security+ Hits 20,000 Mark

CompTIA recently announced that its entry-level security certification, Security+, has now been earned by over 20,000 IT professionals in more than 110 countries. CompTIA research published earlier this year found that among organizations that have invested in staff security certification, 70 percent believed that their security had improved, through improved potential risk identification, increased awareness, improved security measures, and an ability to respond more rapidly to problems.

New IBM Certifications for WebSphere V 6.0

IBM has released new designations for system administrators and developers who work with WebSphere. To attain the IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere MQ V6.0 certification, candidates must pass 1 test. The test is aimed at intermediate-level systems administrators, and due to the nature of WebSphere MQ 6.0, is cross-platform. Developers will want to look at the IBM Certified Solution Developer - IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software V6.0 certification. To earn this designation, candidates must pass 2 tests, covering Rational development and J2EE 1.4. Complete objectives can be viewed at:

New Nortel Support Expert Certification

Nortel has released new certification exams for individuals who wish to achieve Nortel Certified Support Expert (NCSE) - Communication Server 1000, Rls 4.0 certification. This certification validates your ability to optimize customer networks using the Communication Server 1000 Rls. 4.0. There are two exams involved. The first covers Communication Server 1000 Rls 4.0, the second is Technology Standards and Protocols for Converged Networks.
