CCIE Lab Exam Practice Test Available Online

Cisco has announced the launch of an online practice assessment for candidates pursuing CCIE certification. During the four-hour CCIE Assessor Lab, candidates access live Cisco equipment and practice lab scenarios from their own desktop using a Web-based lab management tool. After completing the practice lab, users receive a detailed assessment of their performance, including configuration tips, correct command lines, and suggestions for further study. The CCIE Assessor Lab for Routing and Switching is available to candidates worldwide using standard Web access tools. For a limited introductory period, Cisco will offer CCIE Assessor Lab for US$279, a discount of US$70 off the list price.

CIW Beta Exam Open for Registration

Interested individuals in the United States and the United Kingdom can take the CIW v5 E-Commerce Designer Beta exam (1D0-525) Nov. 30 through Jan. 6 at Prometric testing centers. Those who pass the beta exam can potentially earn CIW Professional certification; however, they must already have their CIW Associate certification and meet all other requirements. The final exam is scheduled for release in February/March 2006.

LPI Passes 100,000 Mark

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) has announced that it has delivered over 100,000 vendor-neutral Linux certification exams, doubling the number delivered as of just over a year ago.

Nortel Adds Two Exams

NCDE - CallPilot Rls. 4.0 Unified Messaging validates your ability to apply design principles and plan a CallPilot Rls. 4.0 Unified Messaging solution implementation. In order to earn this certification, you must hold the NCDS - CallPilot Rls. 4.0 (920-161) or NCDE - CallPilot Rls. 2.x/3.0 Unified Messaging (920-451) certification. You must also successfully complete the CallPilot Rls. 4.0 Unified Messaging (920-457) exam.

NCSE - CallPilot Rls. 4.0 Unified Messaging validates your ability to optimize customer networks using CallPilot Rls. 4.0 Unified Messaging solutions. In order to earn this certification, you must hold the NCSS - CallPilot 4.0 - Installation and Maintenance (920-158) or NCSS - CallPilot 4.0 - System Administrator (920-162) or the NCSE - CallPilot 2.x/3.0 (920-453) certification. You must also successfully complete the CallPilot Rls. 4.0 Unified Messaging (920-458) exam.
