Windows Vista Certifications Coming in Early 2007Although full details are still pending, Microsoft has announced on its Web site that several new IT professional certifications covering Windows Vista will become available in early 2007. The new titles include:

Several New Apple ACSA Elective Options Coming SoonApple has announced the addition of several new exams to the elective options for its Apple Certified Systems Administrator (ACSA) designation. The new exams are: Podcast and Streamed Internet Media Administration, Mac OS X Server Command Line Install and Configuration v10.4 (coming January 2007), and Network Account Management v10.4 (coming February 2007). Sun Business Component Developer Beta AvailableSun Microsystems has announced that the beta version of the Sun Certified Business Component Developer (SCBCD) 5.0 exam will be available from December 8, 2006 through January 2, 2007. Registration is currently open through Prometric. This exam counts toward SCBCD certification.
CompTIA Releases Digital Home Technology Integrator Exam to BetaCompTIA, in conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Association, has announced the release of the beta exam for the new DHTI+ (Digital Home Technology Integrator+) certification. DHTI+ validates a technician's knowledge and skills to configure, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and comprehend the basic design concepts of electronic and digital home systems. There is no charge to take this beta exam (exam code HT 201). This certification will eventually replace the current HTI+ designation. For full information and FAQs, see the CompTIA Web site.
New Beta Offered by McDATAMcDATA has updated its IP SAN Specialist exam and has changed the name to IP SAN Implementer to reflect the exam content focus on implementation.
