13 November 2014

EE, Crown Estate, British Gas and National Grid are among the winners of the 2014 UK IT Industry Awards run by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and Computing. The winners were announced last night by comedian Rich Hall at a glittering dinner at Battersea Park Events Arena.

Paul Fletcher, Group Chief Executive Officer of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, said: “Congratulations to all the winners and those who were highly commended in our UK IT Industry 2014 Awards. The Awards recognise the professionalism and innovation that exists in IT. The quality of applications we received this year was excellent, but the winners stood out as exceptional and inspiring, and should be very proud of their success.”

The annual Awards provide a platform for the entire IT profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence. In total 24 awards were presented covering project, organisation, technology and personal excellence, and included awards such as Security Innovation, Infrastructure Innovation, Business Project, Young IT Professional and CIO of the Year.

Stuart Sumner, Editor of Computing, added: “Well done to the winners and those who were highly commended on their achievements. The UK IT Industry Awards are rigorously judged and truly celebrate innovation and best practice in IT today. To emerge as a winner or runner up reflects a truly special entry.”
