CompTIA Names Telecom Advisory Council Members

Downers Grove, Ill., January 6, 2015 – CompTIA, the information (IT) industry association, today unveiled the new membership of its Telecom Advisory Council.

 

The council includes 19 industry influencers and leaders, each possessing unique and in-depth knowledge of the telecom channel. The group serves as a strategic think-tank for CompTIA, identifying trends, presenting ideas and shepherding initiatives linked to the ongoing convergence of IT and telecom.

 

“An increasing number of players are active in this market – carriers and cable companies, IT VARs and distributors and traditional telecom agents,” said Todd Thibodeaux, president and chief executive officer, CompTIA. ”With the collective expertise of the council, we intend to bring some clarity and definition to potential market opportunities and the strategies and tactics that will help companies achieve their growth and financial goals.”

 

Serving as co-chairs of the CompTIA Telecom Advisory Council are Jeff Ponts, executive vice president, DataTel Solutions, and Bryan Schroder, founder, Juvo Technologies. Rob Butler, managing partner, CrossVergence, is the council’s vice chair.
