CompTIA Staff and Members Named to MSPmentor 250 List

Downers Grove, Ill., January 7, 2015 – CompTIA, the IT industry association, announced today that three staff members and executives from 63 of its member companies have been named to the seventh annual MSPmentor 250 list by MSPmentor and the Penton Technology Group.

The list identifies the world's leading and most influential managed services provider (MSP) executives, entrepreneurs, experts, coaches and community leaders. It is based on MSPmentor's annual global reader survey and daily coverage of the managed services market.

CompTIA staff members who received MSPmentor 250 recognition are Carolyn April, senior director, industry research; Nancy Hammervik, senior vice president, industry relations; and Lisa Person, director, member communities.

“Managed services represents an essential piece of business for a significant percentage of IT companies,” noted Todd Thibodeaux, president and chief executive officer, CompTIA. “Our commitment to the managed IT services industry is strong and growing, through the promotion of best practices and education, and the development of tools and templates to help MSPs flourish.”

MSPmentor praised April for having “her finger on the pulse of the IT service provider industry, following the trends and forces that impact the value added reseller and managed service provider markets."

Hammervik helps shape member programs and resources for the IT channel and advocates on behalf of the broader industry. MSPmentor noted in 2014 “she helped to raise the profile of women in the IT channel with the launch of the Dream IT program within CompTIA's Advancing Women in IT Community.”
