Learning Tree FAC-P/PM Training Program Named as Finalist in 2010 CLO Learning in Practice Awards

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Learning Tree International (NASDAQ NGM: LTRE) has been named as a finalist in the 2010 Chief Learning Officer (CLO) Learning in Practice Awards in the Award for Excellence in Content category. The Excellence in Content Award recognizes training organizations that have created superior customized and/or off-the-shelf learning content in the past year. As a finalist, Learning Tree will receive a gold or silver award. This is the third consecutive year that Learning Tree has been named a finalist in the CLO Learning in Practice Awards.

In this year’s competition, Learning Tree was recognized for its work in developing a FAC-P/PM (Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers) training program that helps U.S. Government customers improve performance on government projects. The Learning Tree FAC-P/PM program has enabled the federal government to develop the program/acquisition competencies vital to improving cost, schedule and technical performance on major capital investment initiatives.

More than 50 awards will be presented to the learning industry’s most respected leaders during the Fall 2010 CLO Symposium special awards ceremony, to be held at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel in California on September 28.

“We are very honored to be advancing to the finals,” said Don Berbary, President and General Manager of Learning Tree International USA. “With the development of our FAC-P/PM curriculum, Learning Tree has further established itself as a leading training provider to the Federal Government and as a partner in their efforts to ensure compliance and improved workplace performance.”
