LPI Supports German Championship 2014 in IT Network System Administration

(Kassel, Germany, September 2, 2014) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the leading vendor-independent Linux certification organization, is sponsor of the German Championship 2014 in IT Network System Administration. The competition is organized by WorldSkills Germany (http://www.worldskillsgermany.com), the funding initiative and umbrella organization for national and international skills competitions. The 10th German Championship takes place at the vocational school for economy, trade, and industry in Neubrandenburg, Germany, (http://www.bs-whi.schulen-nb.de) from September 1-4, 2014. 13 candidates, all apprentices in IT professions, qualified in federal competitions for the German Championship. The winner will participate at the WorldSkills 2015 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Likewise the champion will be part of the German national team, which will participate at the European competition in Lille, France, in October 2014.

LPI supports the German Championship 2014 technically, preparing and implementing practical tasks in Linux and Open Source Software. Candidates have to solve complex assignments on three days. Audience is invited to all three competition days: September 2 and 3, from 10 to 16 hrs and on September 4, from 9 to 13 hrs. The award ceremony is on September 4, at 16:30 hrs at the IHK Neubrandenburg for East Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Katharinenstraße 48.
