TechAmerica Foundation Announces Defense Day Speakers for 50th Annual Vision Federal Market Forecast Conference

Day 1 of Conference Examines Budgets, Programs and Priorities on Cybersecurity, Aircraft and Space Vehicles, Shipbuilding, C4ISR and International Defense


Washington, D.C., September 24, 2014 –The TechAmerica Foundation announced the speakers and sessions lined up for Defense Day of its 50th annual  Vision Federal Market Forecast Conference.  The conference takes place October 28-29 at the Fairview Park Marriott, Falls Church, Va.


“The 2014 Vision Conference is an excellent forum for the IT and defense community to obtain a concise, quantifiable assessment of budgets, programs, priorities and issues  on the future direction of defense, civilian and federal information technology markets,” said Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO of CompTIA “On Day 1 of Vision, we will examine budgets programs and priorities on cybersecurity, aircraft and space vehicles, shipbuilding, C4ISR and international defense to name a few.”


“More than 100 interviews with government executives and defense industry analysts were conducted to provide an analysis about the future of government spending,” said Elizabeth Hyman, executive vice president, TechAmerica.  “The forecast includes relevant information about current DoD activities such as defense strategy and planning, an estimate of the future force structure, an investment forecast and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) spending.”


Joining DoD Day keynote speakers Frank Kendall, under secretary, U.S. Defense for acquisition, technology & logistics; Mike McCord, under secretary and chief financial officer, U.S. Defense; and Jaymie Durnan, senior advisor to the principal deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering;  on the podium for the conference are:
