Announcing The “Valor Video” Viral Video Contest: Your Chance To Encourage The Hiring Of Returning U.S. Veterans

IT Training/Certification Company Training Camp Wants You to Show Why America Needs to Hire Its Vets; Top Three Vote-Getters will Share $10,000 in Prizes

TREVOSE, PA — Chances are, our veterans never expected to face yet another fight when they returned home: the fight to land a meaningful job.

Training Camp, the award-winning developer and provider of accelerated IT training and certification programs, is determined to lower an unemployment rate among America’s vets that is twice the national average—and it’s looking for your help. The company is sponsoring “Valor Video ,” a viral video contest. Valor Video is your chance to shed light on the many reasons why companies should hire veterans who are already home, or just returning to the states.

“Viral videos have proven to be an unbelievably powerful way for one person to move millions to action,” said Christopher Porter, President of Training Camp. “Beginning this Fourth of July, our goal is to inspire the creation of scores, if not hundreds, of videos that make if clear how important it is to hire those who have sacrificed so much on our society’s behalf.”

Valor Video entries should be between 30 and 60 seconds in length. Make them funny, silly, heartwarming or witty—whichever you choose, the idea is to inspire viewers to make a difference. The contest will officially begin on July 4th, with the deadline for video submissions being 12 Noon Eastern time on September 7th.

Winners to Share $10,000 in Prizes

All entries in the Video Valor competition will be posted on the official contest Web site, An initial round of voting by the general public through September 14th will determine the five top finalists, and a panel of five judges from Training Camp will select the ultimate prizewinners. Winners will be announced September 18th at 12 Noon Eastern.

The Grand Prize winner, along with the second and third place runners-up, will share a prize pool with retail value of over $10,000. (See the Video Valor Web site for prize details.) In addition, the Grand Prize Winner will be prominently featured on the Valor Video website as well as select national media outlets.

All Entries Benefit Wounded Warrior Project

For every video entered in the Valor Video contest, Training Camp will donate $25 to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization dedicated to raising public awareness and aid for the needs of wounded American service personnel. Each donation is being matched by Valor Video’s co-sponsors, with a minimum of $1,000 to be donated overall to the organization.

The sponsor list in the Valor Video contest is growing and represents a broad cross-section of the technology, IT education and veteran’s support communities. Currently, sponsors include:
