CompTIA and IIB Education Launch New Training and Certification Initiative

Thrissur, Kerala, India – CompTIA, the leading association for the global information technology (IT) industry, is expanding its training and certification activities in Kerala in association with IIB Education Pvt. Ltd., one of the leading industrial training and research centers in the state.

The official launch of the CompTIA – IIB Education partnership was held on 25 April 2013 at Lulu International Convention Center, Thrissur. The event was accompanied by the inauguration of CompTIA Partner ZFP Exam center with IIB Education. ZFP Exam center is an Internet-based exam center. The main idea of ZFP Exam center is to deliver the testing irrespective of geographic location. So certification candidates can attend examinations at the CompTIA- IIB ZFP Exam centers in their nearest locality.

As a vendor-neutral trade association and stands for social amelioration, CompTIA plans to extend activities for the uplift of unskilled IT work force in India by providing skill development training on advanced IT technologies.
New research from CompTIA finds that nearly two-thirds of Indian companies surveyed believe information technology is important to the success of their business. A full 97 percent of firms in India expect to increase their IT spending in 2013, with priorities in areas such as IT security, data security and backup, network infrastructure and web and e-commerce presence.

"Each of these technology priorities – and dozens of others – will require a pipeline of skilled and certified IT workers," said Dennis Kwok, vice president, Asia Pacific, CompTIA. "Employers are looking for, and are willing to pay for technology workers with these skill sets and others that help make the company more competitive and more productive. CompTIA is pleased to team with IIB Education in this effort."

CompTIA and IIB Education venture to do many projects together for uplifting the downtrodden categories in Kerala.

"We are planning to impart industry oriented skill development training and certification programmes to the youths belong to SC/ST categories through various campuses across Kerala in association with Public Sector Undertakings under Government. of Kerala," Kwok noted. "Many projects for woman empowerment are also under consideration."
CompTIA and IIB Education jointly aim for empowerment of Indian youth by imparting international certification and training which meets the industrial requirements and thereby make them competent in the international job market. We endeavor to create skilled IT Work force with international competency and recognition.
