(ISC)2 Announces Recipients for its Third Annual Americas Information Security Leadership Awards

Recipients Honored for their Success in Elevating the Information Security Workforce in Central, North, and South America  

(ISC)2 Security Congress — Chicago, IL, September 26, 2013 — (ISC)2 ("ISC-squared"), the world's largest information security professional body and administrators of the CISSP, today announced the recipients of its third annual Americas Information Security Leadership Awards

The Americas ISLA program aims to recognize the achievements of outstanding information security professionals who have led an industry initiative, program or project resulting in a more proficient, resilient information security workforce in Central, North, and South America. 

"For the third year in a row, we have received a number of impressive nominations representing the accomplishments of industry leaders who are making a real difference in both the growth and quality of the information security workforce throughout the Americas," said W. Hord Tipton, CISSP, executive director of (ISC)2. "We selected this year's Americas ISLA recipients based on their exceptional efforts to improve the cyber security posture of their organizations and to develop qualified professionals capable of mitigating today's most challenging cyber threats."    

The 2013 Americas ISLA judges, all senior-level information security professionals from (ISC)2's North American and Latin American Advisory Boards, carefully reviewed the nominations and selected individual recipients in four distinct categories and one additional special recognition award for community service.
